Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos and your wonderful journgal! Gotta see The Painted Veil! The countryside is just gorgeous. Shot in Beijing & older city where they lived during the cholera epidemic was shot in Huang Yao. Guanxi may have been where some of the long shots were done. Just stunningly beautiful. Diana Rigg is wonderful as the Mother Superior of the convent & hospital! I loved it.
